On this day 38 yrs ago I began my 55th day on hunger strike.10 men died in one of the most defining periods of Irish history. The hunger strike ended at 3.00pm on Sat 3rd October 1981. Proud to have been part of it. ‘Our revenge will be the laughter of our children’. Bobby Sands
