Occasionally during my mini retirement folks would say something along the lines of "you're too young to be tired" or "work hard now so you can enjoy life after retirement".
While balance is essential, I aim to enjoy my life. Often.

Someone I know retired at 57 because of various, non critical, health issues. He was diagnosed with cancer 2 years later and died a year after that at 60. He started working when he was 14 years old. Enjoy life as of today, you never know when dead is coming.
Needless to say, he died at that age because he born poor and had to work his ass out to make a living. If he was rich, he would be most likely still around.
